“N-No…” She told her, “I’m fine… I’ll just… sit here for awhile…”

Su Li lowered herself on the branch, slowly and shiveringly, before sitting on the thick branch. Maybe Roger or Draco will come by and help…

“I’m fine…”

Luna sighed, and pulled her stockings off. She stepped onto the roots of the tree, and pulled herself up. She worked her way up the tree until she was on a brach level with Su Li.

“You helped me. The least I can do is get stuck up here with you.” She smiled. “I’m Luna, by the way.”

“Y-You d-did not have too…” Now she felt bad for making Luna climb all the way up the tree. “I a-apologize…”

A small smile spread across her face as Luna introduced herself. “Su Li, nice t-to meet you…”

“I did, though. I don’t mind, really. I like trees.” She assured her.

“Please to meet you, Su Li.” She grinned. “You’re in Ravenclaw, am I correct? I’ve seen you in the Common Room loads of times.”

"Yes, I am Waybenclaw" She nodded, her accent showing through. "I have seen you too. You are friends w-with H-Harry Potter?"

Luna nodded. “Nargles. They like to steal things, and cause vast amounts of annoying troubles to people. I suspect they’ve done this.” She sighed and walked over to the tree.

“I’ve no idea how to get these down…”

Su Li glanced back up the tree again. Without a second thought, she kicked off her shoes and walked to the giant oak. Letting out a slightly shaky breath, she jumped up and pulled herself up.

Like a little monkey, she scrambled up the branches and untangled the shoes from the branch’s hold and released them down back to earth.

Luna watched the girl climb up the tree, impressed. She wished she could climb trees like that. She stepped forward and caught her shoes, smiling. Then she looked up.

“You can get back, down, right?” She called up to the climber girl.

“M-Maybe….” She stammered, gripping the trunk slightly tighter. Su Li had a slight fear of heights, at least when it came to trees…

“Are you sure?” Luna looked at her, worried. She set her shoes down and stepped up to the tree. “I can try to help you…” She put her fingertips to her lips, trying to figure how she’d get up there.

"N-No…" She told her, "I’m fine… I’ll just… sit here for awhile…"

Su Li stood outside the castle by the great Oak tree. The gentle breeze blew by, kissing her features as her skirt fluttered in the wind.
Today was a beautiful day…

Luna skipped outside, seeming puzzled. She stopped in the middle of the sloping grounds and narrowed her eyes at the oak tree. He shoes. They were hanging in the tree. On the top branch. She sighed, and made her way over to the tree.
She stopped beside the other girl standing there, not seeming to even notice her there, as she was staring at her shoes.

Su Li jumped when she noticed that Luna was next to her. The girl just appeared out of nowhere like a ghost. She have seen her around school as well as her common room but she has never conversed with her before.
To be honest, the idea of talking with such a person intimidated her. She was friends with Harry Potter… That’s just a major honor she could no compete with.
“Are… you okay?” She asked slowly, trying hard to control her stuttering.

Luna looked to her side and blinked at the girl. “Oh, yes, I’m fine.” She smiled at the girl. “It just seems that the Nargles have done away with my shoes again.” She shrugged, pointing up into the tree.
“Am I disturbing you?” She asked politely.

She quickly shook her head, “N-No, o-of course not…” She replied quickly, looking up at the tree where she was pointing. There were a pair of shoes hanging from the middle branches.
"Nargles?" She repeated, sounding slightly confused.

Su Li/Roger: Endless Day 2 in Japan

the-roger-davies:

lady-su-li:

She woke up tangled within her sheets. Her satin pillow was stained with tears shed from the previous night. That’s right… She thought to herself, rubbing her tired eyes. I cried myself to sleep.

Removing the light baby blue bedding from her body, she swung her legs over the side of the bed as a body shivering yawn overtook her fragile frame. The events from yesterday rushed back to her like a dam that broke underneath pressure.

She doubted that he was even worried about the events from yesterday. He’s probably still sleeping in his room, just snoring away without a care in the world. That’s how it usually is, isn’t it? The girl was always troubled about something while the man is oblivious to her world. The words of her relatives swarmed within her mind as she tried hard to push them out of her head.

Today was a new day. She would enjoy the trip to her homeland and do what she was originally here to do, show Roger the beauty of this island. He was her friend and anyone can do shall change her opinion of that. No, he was her friend. Maybe if she kept repeating it, even she’ll start believing it.

He hadn’t slept at all last night.

Not. A. Damn. Wink.

Very much tired and sleep-deprived, Roger rubbed the crick in the back of his neck and thought of Su. She’d popped up constantly in his thoughts last night, and the sight of her crying replayed in his mind, making him feel guilty for the entire six hours of sleep he never got.

He hoped she was okay.

She stripped herself of her silk nightgown and donned a white knitted shirt and a pair of worn-out jeans. Brushing her hair to obtain that luminous sheen, she sighed and opened her door.

It was the start of a brand new day. The past was the past and the present was now. She need not worry herself with those troubles. It was all she could do to stop herself from hurting.

Three knocks upon Roger’s door and she stood at attention. “Roger… Are you awake?” She asked, her voice slightly hoarsh from last night’s cry.

She didn’t turn to look at him. Her eyes were still cast upon the ground. “This is nothing new…” She muttered wiping her cheeks clear of moisture. “If… I were to believe anyone, it would be you…” Su Li turned her back to him, opening the door with the silver key around her wrist. “Though… by a small margin. My family are not all as sweet as I for they are bitter I am one to claim the throne. Yet, when I met you, you were… just but a womanizer.”

The girl pushed the doors open, stepping aside for him to enter. “Everything you said… When you said you liked me. Was it still as a friend like you mentioned before? Or was the term different this time?” She asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

First impressions were always long-lasting, and he hoped dearly that a womanizing Casanova wasn’t what she would always think of him as.

Because around her, he certainly was anything but that. She made him want to amount to much, much more.

“I-I’m not very good with feelings,” he admitted bluntly, rubbing the back of his neck.

Then try! She wanted to shout out, but she was too reserved and control to let loose like that. Su Li stayed silent instead, willing the tears back and away from her eyes. “I see…” She muttered. She could her her Mei Li’s and Huang Jang’s voices in her head right now.

He’s not good at feelings? He just doesn’t want to try.

You’ve outted him and now he’s got nowhere to run.

She told those voices to shut up. So much for a relaxing trip back home… “I’ll just leave you to unpack then.” She said quietly, brushing past him. “If you need anything, my room is next door…” With that, she gently closed the door behind her and made her way over to her room.

She unlocked it swiftly, closing it with a light slam as she pressed her back onto the white varnished oak frame. The tears spilled down her cheeks. If they were just friends then why did she hurt so much? Was it because of the betrayal she felt? What was it and why does it hurt?

the-roger-davies:

lady-su-li:

Su Li looked at up at his small admission. If she had to choose whom to trust, Huang Jang and Mei Li or Roger… her decision would always be the same.

She wrenched herself from Huang Jang’s slacken grip and hid herself behind Roger, wrapping her arms around his own. “Let me show you to your room,” She muttered, wiping at her eyes. “As for you two,” She muttered, looking at her sibling and her cousin. “Leave me alone…”

With that, she gave Roger a light tug and pulled him down the hallway and turned the corner. They walked in silence, her grip upon his arm never slacking in pressure. She didn’t look at him but she didn’t look anywhere other than forward. Tears fell from her eyes occasionally but then ceased after awhile.

Down two hall ways and round three corners, she finally stopped in front of a grand looking door. “Your room…” She muttered, her voice breathy.

The lack of conversation disturbed him most as they walked along the exotic corridors, their footsteps echoing down the silent walk. When they finally stopped outside of a pair of heavy-looking double doors, he glanced over at her and felt something stir inside as he saw the previous presence of tears on her ivory cheek.

With a great sigh, he leaned against the door frame, bags slung over his shoulder. “Look, Princess, don’t let what they said bother you. I’m never going to hurt you intentionally, alright? You believe me, don’t you?”
